We have acquired a Hines machine, which was custom built for Classic
and Modern Engines Services.
Hines is the world-leading brand and the Dominator is a rugged machine
that gives high sensitivity and works to fine tolerances.
We use the machine for computerised dynamic balancing - only two
workshops in the country can do this.
Balancing is a key task in achieving optimum engine performance,
because a moving mass results in huge
forces at high revs - one ounce
is multiplied over a thousand times at 6,000 revs. It is very
important that full balancing is attained.
